the wonders of video embedding — if I had HALF the talent of some of these bloggers! imho, it seems like yi’s biggest issues, which are only mentioned here, are at the defensive end. this piece nicely highlights his natural ballhandling gifts and innate feel for the offensive side of the game – what a great left hand! yet what I and many others have found utterly confounding about yi, in both mil and nj, isn’t his inconsistent aggressiveness, but his general indifference on the defensive end. sure, he’s capable of scoring 14 against nba-caliber comp, but he hasn’t demonstrated a commitment to keeping his guy from putting up similar #s. the blogger’s definitely right – neither mcghee nor blatche will ever be as polished on the block, but at least both of those guys try to utilize natural athleticism at both ends of the court. all is not lost…since you have a seemingly wonderful bball instructor in saunders, progress will be made.
