On Being Inauthentic

It is bad practice. Read this article to see what I mean.

SnagFilms would never do something like this. We don’t need to in a “double bottom line” business.

Our fans and customers are our affiliates and viewers. We stream for free.

We support charities.

We have legitimate support via our fans donating pixels to a cause.

Note the CEO of Netflix talking about cable and that Netflix doesn’t have sports programming.

I own sports programming, Monumental Sports and Entertainment.

I own SnagFilms and indieWIRE.

Looks like we are well positioned for the future, eh?

Fair and Balanced

The theme of this article - no one knows?

We could be good?We could take a step back. We could take a step towards respectability. We could be building something good or we could be stuck in idle. I agree and this is fair and balanced.

I think that is why we play the games - to find out who does what and how our young players emerge and develop as NBA caliber players.

Till then – it is all talk, speculation and conjecture. And blog commenting which I love to see. At least we are on our way to relevance and becoming worthy of your time. And attention.

We are a work in progress but each and every day a light goes on and I feel and sense we are moving forward. Onward. Thank you.

This Isn’t What I Believe

I believe that we are at an inflection point for our NBA franchise. We are all in alignment and we are all moving forward. We are excited.

Our focus is about being into a rebuild and creating something new and promising and crafted from a new set of experiences. Together.

We won’t look back. We can’t look back. We are all facing in the same direction. Forward. We have been working very hard and with passion and commitment to build a new team and a new set of services that our fans will embrace and fall in love with. We are into the “we”; we are not about the “I.”

What is done is done. What is past is past. We have owned the team outright for about 100 days. We have been working on and will soon go public with our list of the 101 things we have done that move us into the future – together.

We shouldn’t talk about our previous season anymore. We will pay homage to our tradition but we must think about our first game, then our second game and so on. THIS SEASON - that is what sports is all about. That is what I believe. I can’t get dragged into could haves and would haves and the past. I must think about our fans; our franchise; and my promises to everyone. We need to build together a promising future. We need to craft a team that is capable of winning an NBA championship. We need to replicate the feeling and memories in DC from 1978 and the last ring that was won by the franchise for the fan base.

We are only looking one way – forward. We hope to bring you all along with us!
