“You Can’t Dougie Out and Then You Lose”

Most profound statement uttered in DC this week by a man of power.

History is being made at Verizon Center again.

A rebuild is taking shape.

A wonderful star is in the making. So far – so good.

Don’t you want to come on out and see for yourself?

Remember when I preached that the Washington Capitals were like a growth stock? Get in early like you did on AOL, Google and Microsoft stock? Now we are totally sold out with a waiting list. Bad times became good times. The people that believed were rewarded.

I am here to tell you that about the Washington Wizards. Buy your tickets now, please. Sign up for season tickets. Get in early and own your seats. We will continue to invest in the team and improve the team. We will have star power. We will have an arc of growth. Get in early. See our own home grown and developed stars grow up before your very eyes.

Sorry, I had to get up on a soap box. We need your help. We play this Saturday night. We need and want you to be in attendance. The team plays better in front of a sold out building. Come support the team. Click here. Off of soap box now.

When we have a total paid sellout this season, I will do the “Dougie” – I promise.

We Need to Play Better But…

I know. I hear you.

We blew a lead last night that we shouldn’t have and we let our goaltender down.

We are tied for first place in the Eastern Conference in terms of points.

We let in 3 goals in a 7 minute span mostly because we went into cruise control after gaining a two goal lead and that Toronto is a tough team to play against with talent and grit. The NHL is filled with terrific teams and tons of talent. We must always be respectful and mindful of that fact.

We are second in the NHL for positive goals differential.

Some fans booed. I “get it.” You were disappointed.

We won in the shootout.

We are 5 and 1 at home this season, second best in NHL.

I received an email this morning that says, “You are worst team in the NHL right now.”

We are tied for most points in NHL right now.

Yin and yang.

We are the worst best team or best worst team in NHL right now. I agree.

I hear you.

We know.
