The thing I find most offensive about the Troll’s comments is that they’re so infused with barely-disguised racism. The comparisons with mostly a series of white players; the comparison with criminality; the assessment that he has low intelligence. It is sickening.
I was one of the John Wall skeptics. So far, he’s proven me wrong (something for which I’m extremely happy to admit). But I was a Wall skeptic because I’ve always been skeptical of scoring point guards like Iverson or Marbury (or, hilariously, Isiah, who I think is WAY over-rated. Rodman et al were far more important to the Pistons championship teams than Isiah). I thought he might find the temptation of inflating his scoring stat line, to the detriment of his team, would be too much.
God am I glad I was wrong! He’s having an amazing rookie season. He’s providing lots of assists, above-average rebounding, and his shot selection has noticeably improved. In short, I think this guy is going to be great.
Oh, and I thought the Dougie was awesome.
The racist troll is the one who should be called out for having a low IQ. His offensive screed tells me all I need to know about him.
