Wizards vs. Bobcats

Come on out to see a competitive game tonight – Wizards vs. the Bobcats. NBA action on a Friday night in downtown DC. A great date night experience, too.

There doesn’t seem to be a risk of me having to do the Dougie so you can relax. :-) There are plenty of good seats still available for tonight’s game.

So I have to be unabashed and not shy and ask, “What are you waiting for? Come on out. If you are going to comment on blogs or email me relentlessly, at least buy a ticket and enjoy a game LIVE! That is the least you can do, right?

Our business is strong and we are growing. Thank you for the support.

But we are a long way from 70 straight sell-outs a la the Washington Capitals.

We Drive You Crazy, Don’t We?

Did we deserve to win that game?

Against a scrappy and tough team that plays a system that will drive teams crazy? You can decide. What do you call the system that Tampa plays – it is tough to decipher, isn’t it? Five players at the neutral zone and everyone chases the puck. It is quite effective if odd to watch. I was happy that we finally figured it out and that we were patient.

We are 12-4 now and 8-1 at home. Most points in the NHL.

Happy to drive you all crazy!

Right players scoring and everyone contributing. Rookie goaltender has most wins in NHL.

HBO was in town yesterday and will stay to shoot even more footage today.

It hasn’t distracted us.

The footage I have seen is just awe inspiring. You will get goose bumps.

Go Caps! Shuffle off to Buffalo.

Thanks to our Vets. We are all so proud of you and thank you for all you do. It was humbling to meet so many of you at the game last night!

Caps vs. Lightning Tonight

“The most improved team in the league led by young and rapidly developing stars. Led by the leading scorer in the NHL under the leadership of new owners and a new coach.”

They used to say that about us. Now they say that about the Tampa Bay Lightning.

A team led by young stars that are hungry and angry and focused on interdivisional play.

I am so impressed with the turnaround in Tampa. They are scary good.

I hope we are up to this challenge. Be prepared, be loud and proud tonight! Total red out – we will need it. Go Caps!

Hard Work Pays Off

It wasn’t Magic. It wasn’t being Flip.

It was plain old hard work, focus and teamwork.

And some great individual effort within a team concept that led to a win last night.

A win is a win and I am happy for the players, the staff and the fans.

Asian Heritage Night was a big hit. Yi responded on the court and then off the court meeting with and addressing many guests after the game.

Thank you to Earvin Magic Johnson for coming to the game; speaking to our team; hanging out with us; and offering me such sage advice all night.

It was super ironic for John Wall to play a Magic Johnson-like game last night, too – a triple double with ONLY ONE turnover. The eye contact between John and Magic during the game was special to see. What an inspiration.

Thank you to our fan base for coming to our games and seeing – slowly but clearly – that this is a team with upside and a fun team to watch.

When we play with energy we rebound; go hard to the rim; and play with pace and determination. We are a joy to watch.

I hope to see you all on Friday. We are in this together and the team feeds off of your energy.
