It wasn’t pretty.
It was in fact ugly in the first half.
We are short-handed. It is tough to rebuild when the players you are rebuilding around aren’t playing.
But we competed. We dug ourselves out of a big hole.
We tied the game. We were right there with momentum.
We then made turnover after turnover – young players and vets alike. At crunch time.
We don’t have a closer mentality. Yet.
We don’t have that one play that everyone knows is coming but you can’t stop it.
Our players want to improve.
We won’t let frustration get in the way of learning and getting young players their minutes.
Onward to Saturday’s home game.
We will have a big crowd on Saturday, lots of dignitaries and VIPs. If I was you, I wouldn’t be too cool for school and think you will get into the building at your leisure at 7:15 pm. I would get there early. Thank you.
Please do whatever it takes to make the Gilbert to Orlando thing happen. Been a serious wash fan for 30 years and watch every game. The give up foul with 32.4 on Devin Harris down 3 has to be the last straw I hope. Lazy one handed bounce passes that skid out of bounds 3 times a game. He is the Chad ocho cinco of basketball and you will immediately win 10 of 15 as soon as he is gone. “but Gilbert works hard”. Yes at making HIMSELF better. He is one of those guys that PREFERS to win. John wall NEEDS to win. Big difference. Everyone PREFERS to win. Don’t let him rub off on wall any more than he already had… For your investments sake and for MY sanity’s sake please I beg of u. Even if u have to throw in mcgee or blatche (who I love both) to make it happem
Will be there…caught the Nets match on the radio and the lads were pretty gutsy getting back into the match after that horrific, over-officiated first half.
