I’m happy to have Alexander Semin signed for another year. He’s been hampered by injuries lately, but he has been very productive and is an important component of our offense. He was a 40-goal scorer a year ago, and at 26 years of age he’s part of our young nucleus. Here’s the Capitals’ news release.
Alex was a points leader in two playoff series for the Caps.
He’ll certainly be rested and I’d have a pretty strong itch to get out there and play if I were him at this point.
Semin scored a hat trick at my second Caps game but I hadn’t worn a hat. I look forward to coming back. I hope he’s back from injury soon – the team could use another scoring threat lately.
Blind leading the blind?
Disappears when it counts.
We are more than happy to have him back another year. I think Ovi would be upset if Semin was to leave, so this def bodes well. Now lets just get him and Eric healthy and fix this power play.
I have a huge man crush on Leonsis by the way.
We’re happy to hear this news! I think he is very misunderstood. Although we have never met him, we have spent a month in his home city of Krasnoyarsk and believe we can understand some of his hesitations and even some of his motivations. We think he is an excellent player and hope the best for him and the team for the remainder of the season. . .can you imagine him being on another team and playing the Caps??? shudder. . .Go Caps!! Come back healthy and strong after the break!!
