Nothing to get too excited about. It was a tough road win last night and a defensive struggle with lots of hitting.
Pittsburgh was short-handed as were we.
Both teams played tough and hard playing in back to back games. A tough schedule for both squads.
We really needed the win to get above 500 for the road trip.
Five games in 8 days and 5 one goal games. Mentally and physically tough!
We scored on a power play and we win the game.
We now have 74 points with 21 games left to play.
We get some time off this week to rest up, heal up and practice.
The trade deadline is coming up as well.
And then one more road trip – a tough one as the NCAA moves into Verizon Center.

Kudos to John Wall
What a fun display of skills and quarterbacking a fast break! That was fun to watch.
He broke Chris Paul’s record which was also a good accomplishment to build confidence. Being named MVP of the contest was terrific news, too.
I am happy for him and for JaVale McGee. This weekend was a good one for them both to enjoy and to learn and be associated with great NBA players.
Two young players that were drafted and are being developed by the Wizards. Good to see!
I Got Me One of These

And in an odd aside, a few years ago my family chartered a boat for a holiday and it was Eric Clapton’s family boat.
I now have a Jerry Garcia acoustic; a Bono and Edge signed guitar; and one from Clapton.
All in the name of supporting charities. What great memorabilia!

Blurring the Lines
What is a blog vs. a tweet vs. a website vs. a Facebook newsfeed or a Facebook wall posting?
It is all starting to blur, isn’t it?
This is a terrific article on NYTimes.com. Read this one.
It augers well for people who use a service such as TweetDeck where for example my blog posts also get turned into tweets and into Facebook newsfeeds to reach a wide audience of friends and interested parties.
It also hints that blogs that are a part of a great network of other like-minded sites will do well and morph into major media properties and that singular blog sites will struggle as islands with no where to go and servicing a shrinking audience.
