14-3 and 1

That is our record now on Super Bowl Sundays.

5 of 6 points so far this season from the Pens.

We get the two standing  points.

We played well; while  still missing Semin, Fehr and Poti and Mike Green for most of the game.

The Pens played really well too considering who was out of their lineup.

These games are very competitive and fun and intense. Regardless of who is playing and who is sitting.

I won’t comment on the Matt Cooke hit on Alex Ovechkin; I know many  of you will.

Just a game– a regular season game– we need standings points– we are still  5th in the East; we are ten points ahead of the 9th place team in the conference–with a game in hand. 28 games left to play.

Go Caps– see you all on Tuesday as we play San Jose Sharks; no rest for the weary.

It was wonderful to see  Alex Ovechkin; Nick Backstrom, and Brooks Laich all on the score sheet, in the same game. Continue reading
