Wow – big numbers.
Most minutes of rookie play of any team in the NHL so far this season.
And we have a pretty good record to boot. Thanks for finding this tidbit of info. Click here. Good stuff.

…About the beauty and history of our community.
I just found a wonderful book called Our Potomac, From Great Falls Through Washington, DC. It is a coffee table high quality photo book by Roy Sewall. Go buy it today if you love the waterways in the DMV.
Just beautiful. Just perfect photos of the wonderful scenery of our great river, falls and vegetation.
I am blessed that our new home Marwood has magnificent views of this mighty and important river. The last few days have shown the personality of the rapids and abundance of wild life in our neighborhood.
I also wanted to note something funny. I hear that our new house has been called “haunted” by some bloggers.
I asked the previous owner of the home about the Internet stories. He laughed and said, “The house is historic but it is not haunted. If it was haunted we would have been able to sell the house for a lot more money.” He then told me the story. A story was written and the research was flawed. An address was reported but it was not this home’s address. The article was picked up on the web. It was then cited in a publication and there you go. A myth was born and bad reporting was re-circulated as fact. (If you can call a “haunted house” in any manner as being fact.) The house has great history with FDR having spent many summers here. It is warm and inviting. It is a family home. It has spectacular views of “Our Potomac.” We are blessed. We are not haunted. Geesh. I can’t believe I even have to respond to stuff like this of late. Thank you.
I agree with much of this one. Click here to see for yourself. Thanks.
Our 9 game win streak is over. It was fun while it lasted. It helped us to regain a stronger seeding in the standings.
We played quite well last night and good enough to beat most teams but quite difficult to beat the Detroit Red Wings at home in a back to back game for us. Both teams now have 92 points in the standings.
We lacked just a bit of energy and drive compared to the Montreal game. And being so short-handed finally showed last night being without – count them up – Backstrom, Arnott, Green, Poti, Varlamov, Erskine and Fehr. Seven players that we count on.
No excuses though. Detroit won 3-2. They scored on a power play and we didn’t. And that is the game in a nutshell.
We flew out to New Jersey and we get ready for a tough two game set against the hottest team in the NHL, the New Jersey Devils, and then on to Philadelphia to play the Flyers. How is that for a tough three game set? Detroit – New Jersey – Philly. All on the road in one week’s time.
As an aside, we hit 93% renewals of season tickets. Thanks for caring and for sending in your paperwork. The deadline is fast approaching.
