About Last Night

Yep, both teams are very evenly matched again.

Both teams know each other quite well.

The differential between both teams this time of year is very small.

When you win, you cant get excited. When you lose, you can’t get down.

This column sums it up quite well.

We hit some posts and some bounces went the wrong way.

At the end of the day though they scored on a power play and we didn’t. And that is the big difference – special teams play. With less than a minute left in a period, that hurt.

We kicked a goal in and it was correctly called. No goal.

They got a lucky bounce but they were buzzing the net so the goal was quite deserved. We lose. They win.

Onward to Sunday.

Playoff hockey.

Thank you to the fans for showing class when an opponent went down with an injury. We were all quite concerned and we are grateful that all will turn out well.

Go Caps!

  1. Onward to Sunday, indeed. Unfortunately, I won’t see it because I don’t get Versus. I’ve watched two-thirds or more of the Caps’ games on CSN this year, and now I’m left out in the cold during the playoffs, again. Very frustrating. I’m assuming Versus will dominate the schedule from here on out, so it looks like the Caps’ season is over for me whether they win or lose.

  2. Definitely looked a bit sluggish and back to “cute” ways on the power play vs. just trying to bang one home. Knuble is missed right now. Would love to see Wideman back – sucks he’s out. Good luck tomorrow.
