Silly But Fun Season

Mock drafts.Expert opinions.

From some folks who have never seen a player play, they speak with conviction about players; what they are good at; and what is happening behind close doors. I love this Internet thing!

This is all great for generating interest and speculation but I am always surprised by the deep held convictions some people have about players they have never even seen play in real time; never met; and never scouted. Never talked to teammates, coaches and doctors. The opinions are all based on other opinions of people who have never seen the player play.

These are exciting times. Times filled with hope and promise. And lots of pixels. And lots of unnamed sources.

Go for it. Have fun. But to be honest, be just a tad skeptical of some of the experts who have never seen a player play a live game.

Epic

What a game last night.

Too close to call. So intense and hard fought. I enjoyed it as a fan of the game.

San Jose doesn’t score on a goal line shot that literally trickles on goal line through goal mouth and then gets jammed into post. Unlucky.

One team doesn’t score on its 5-on-3 opportunity! Skill on penalty kill.

A late third period goal 13 seconds left with the goalie pulled on a controversial icing call to keep the puck in the offensive zone. Unlucky.

And then a second OT fluke bounce and puck is in back of the net. Lucky and unlucky. The game winner. On to the Finals.

SO close – could go either way.

One winner – one loser – epic competition!
