Wow. Good for IBM.
Apple. IBM. Microsoft. One, two and three in terms of market cap for tech companies.
Find me a person who would have predicted that order 10 years ago? $ 700 billion of combined market cap.

They now can become cash registers of sorts.
And iPhones, too.
Read this one. One that bears watching. A hot company in a huge space rewriting the rules. Impressive indeed.
Don’t be afraid.

Computers are TVs.
Phones are computers.
Computers are phones.Convergence. It happened.
At my home, we have iPads built into our walls now as home control units and we use iPads as remotes.
We have security cameras to watch on iPads. We can watch TV on iPads. We control our TVs which are really network devices via iPads. I can turn lights on and off on my iPhone.
We have Apple TV. We have Verizon FiOS. Telephone calls are digitized.
Boxee is hot. See enclosed link.
And on and on.
We live in amazing times.
Content is available everywhere – SnagFilms in on Boxee on iPads; on your PC; and via distribution of virtual theaters; via Comcast PPV; and FiOS, too.
We have wireless everywhere.
We are always on. When we aren’t on something is wrong.
I remember connecting at 1200 baud.
Wow. Times have changed.
A fun night in DC last night.
Family. Friends.
Dinner at Marvin. It’s a great place. Go check it out. Fun menu and great sounds in a hip neighborhood. See link here. Try the chicken and waffles!
Followed by The Cars at the 9:30 Club as guests of owner Seth Hurwitz. Steve Case and I harkened back to a more fun era. Ric Ocasek may be 65 but he sounds good and the new album sounds strong. When I lived in Boston after college, The Cars were a part of the soundtrack of our lives on WBCN!
The band really misses Benjamin Orr but it was nice to see them back together. Good for them.
Now is this the way to promote your business?
Read this one but please watch the video too!
Amazing! And a mug shot that looks like, “A small price to pay for one million YouTube hits.”
Ten years ago.
The first store in the 300 store chain opened here in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
I remember walking in that first weekend pre-iPod and pre-iPad thinking “really – will this work?”
Wow – was I wrong! And now I go to the Apple Store in Tysons or in Georgetown or Bethesda with regularity.
Here is a demo of the store from May of 2001 with Steve Jobs. An amazing run!
No, not the NHL or NBA lottery, THE lottery.
Watch this one. See how lives do get changed – good and bad.
A good one; a fun one; and a troubling one.
