Georgetown Men’s Basketball

And Monumental Sports and Entertainment announced a smart partnership. We will be selling tickets for the program and utilizing our infrastructure and personnel to help drive attendance for the University that plays at Verizon Center. See link here from the Georgetown University website.

I am very proud. Hoya Saxa.

On another front, I happened to mention our new loge boxes earlier in the week on my blog that we had built 8 and had sold 4 – scratch that – we have now sold 5 of them! Thank you. These have turned out to be very popular with our fans.

Also the Verizon Center has installed and will continue to refine during the next few weeks an upgraded sound system and we are also hard at work on modernizing a bunch of suites in the building.Scratch some more To Do’s off our list. Thanks for the support!

This is a Good Story

Well done and well researched.

I met the Dalai Lama in this room. It was unrecognizable as a locker room for opposing teams.

His Holiness was a man at peace. He spoke for three hours to the masses at Verizon Center on the day I met him. I gave him a copy of my book and told him how much his teaching affected my life and world view. And that I had quoted him liberally in my book. He was appreciative and so peaceful. He smiled and spoke softly. He is incredibly thoughtful and quite funny as well.

I am proud that we were able to host the Dalai Lama at Verizon Center for 10 days. See this story on how we all worked to make him feel at home. Thank you.

Our Streets

“There’s Nothing Bad In These Bricks”.

A side of DC most of us never get to see.

A very powerful film.

We are the most powerful and educated and wired city in the world.

We can do better.

This film is a reminder of what life can be life less than five miles from the White House.

Watch this film – very disturbing and powerful. On SnagFilms.com.
