The Washington Capitals have been intent on providing services and entertainment in a family and female friendly environment.
We would like Verizon Center to be welcoming to everyone; we want to build a big tent and build a cross over audience that enjoys NHL action and our team. Being relevant to all is how you build a big and popular community. Winning helps too, of course!
Here is an article about our outreach and fan development work with woman; I think you will find it of interest. Thank you.
Is it just me, or are the Caps’ female fans the sexiest and most beautiful?
Just an observation…
I posted this comment on the Kings of Leonsis page but wanted to leave it here, too:
Maybe the critic of Hockey n Heels should try it before putting it down. I have gone twice. One of the things I most appreciate about it is that it takes women’s interest in the GAME not just the players very seriously. If you grew up playing hockey then you may find it redundant. If you are a recent convert, then it is fascinating and educational. I had no idea how stiff a goalie glove is until I tried one on and could not close my fingers. I also appreciate the players who give up a rare free night to do this for the fans. Varly, Holtby, Matty P. , D.J., Alzner, thank you. You know how to inspire loyalty. -end-
