Under The Rainbow

Thank you for helping a great cause – thank you for turning out in big numbers and walking with us from the Capitol Building to the Washington Monument and back.

We raised almost $ 200,000 for Lupus research! Way to go.

And to all the employees from Monumental Sports and Entertainment – thank you so much; you all looked so great in red – and you represented us with style and class! See the photo below.

And we all walked under a magnificent rainbow above the Washington Monument. That was a sight to see!

Preseason Finale

The preseason is over. We get a win against Chicago 4 to 1.The team gets to work as a unit all week in practice before we drop the puck next Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes to kick off a new campaign.

Thank you for your emails; some with praise – some with concerns.

They are all appreciated.

I apologize for the issues with the big screen yesterday at the game. It was rebooted and all worked well; we will make sure we iron out all of the software issues during the week.

I am sure the coaching staff will continue to fine tune the power play as well during the week.

I am happy that we have gone through camp and the long pre-season relatively healthy.

It is getting cooler outside – it feels like hockey weather. We are excited about the new season.

We shall all try to keep a calm and even demeanor during the season; and hope you will enjoy yourself. See you all on Saturday night; Go Caps!
