The new development campaign kicks off this weekend!

We will raise $1.5 billion for generations to come.

We have a strong community, a community that loves the University and believes in supporting the school and its students and faculty.

Silently and quickly we have reached half of that goal, $750 million or so.

It was a great honor to speak on campus on Friday.

President Clinton was back on campus as well.

Streak Ends – We Move On

The Oilers have an exciting and talented young team filled with world class up-and-coming talent. They are in full-on rebuild and played quite well last night. And we played it seemed continually on the penalty kill. We must be prepared now for every team’s best play. There are zero easy nights in the NHL.

We were the least penalized team in the NHL until last night.

The Oilers scored twice on their power play. We lose 2-1.

We move on. Next up is a very tough game in Vancouver.

Never Seen Anything Like That Before

On to Game 7 in the World Series.

My son and I sat in stunned disbelief – rally after rally – we couldn’t believe what we were watching. One strike away from a championship. Texas couldn’t hold the lead. Twice. St. Louis never quit.

Truly a great game and historic! Wow. The game ended so late but it was worth losing sleep!

Getting Connected

Last week we noted the AT&T upgrade at Verizon Center, and we also have been working diligently with our good partners at Verizon Wireless. We are on track for a significant enhancement in the next two months, tentatively by the end of December. Verizon already has made some strides, but fans can expect a significant expansion in mobile broadband coverage in the near future. As you may have realized, we previously upgraded the in-arena Wi-Fi system and will continue to make enhancements as needed. We understand the importance of fans wishing to stay connected while at our arena, and we are working to ensure we deliver the necessary connectivity. Stay tuned.
