“It wasn’t fun anymore”?
Just leave it at that I guess. Thank you and good bye. Read this one; I wonder if the blogosphere will dig deeper on all of this? Happy holidays!
It is coming again on New Year’s Day. The Winter Classic from Philadelphia.
24/7 on HBO has been fun; and as good as ever; to get us all ready to watch Flyers vs. Rangers.
Here is the wonderful film, “Pond Hockey”.
This film sets the stage – watch and enjoy and get ready! Thank you.
Alexander Semin will soon become the 5th best goal scorer in Washington Capital’s history. He is now in 8th place with 185 goals scored - right behind Bobby Carpenter who scored 188 goals; in 490 games; Semin has scored his goals in 424 games. Ben Gustafsson is in 5th place with 196 goals scored in 629 games played.
Alex Ovechkin is in 3rd place already with 313 goals in 510 games played.
Ovechkin and Semin are the two most prolific scoring team mates in team history.
An assist to Japers on this chart.
A good read here – in the Washington Post – but here are also the facts via an informative chart. Thank you.
We missed a lot of shots early – Atlanta made a lot of their shots early – we were in a big hole and played the entire game trying to claw back. Atlanta hit a bunch of three point shots early and we couldn’t answer.
We played hard – and our youth was exposed as every time we got a sniff of run; we turned the ball over or missed uncontested shots close in.
Atlanta is a playoff team and a vet team; the oldest team in the NBA; and they have lots of talent. They met every run by the Wizards and deserved the win. They shoot the ball very well and they rebound and transition at a quick pace; this is a very good team – with an identity.
We must get more out of our front line in terms of defense; rebounding and scoring.
And cutting turn overs will help a lot as well.
We search for a team identity still. A work in progress, indeed.
Onward to next road game on Friday. Thank you.
I got a Kindle Fire as a Christmas gift (sorry in advance for being politically incorrect); and have been playing with it; I find it to be a great value for the dollar; and I bet Amazon will sell them like hot cakes.
The screen quality is really great – and video viewing is spectacular on it. It is like a portable TV in some apps; and our own SnagFilms app works great on it. I have been watching films for free on the Fire and it works as well as my iPad in this setting.
If you have a Kindle Fire – go check out the SnagFilms app. Thank you.
And here is a cool film from SnagFilms called “ManChild”; a great coming of age film for you to enjoy!
A good win at home; we needed the two points. Thanks Caps fans for being loud and proud.
We missed several open nets; we could have scored 6 goals; but we are very appreciative of scoring 4 and holding the red hot Rangers to only 1 goal.
Our goal tender was calm and made big saves when necessary and our penalty killing units played really well.
Congratulations to Alex Semin too for a two goal game and to Alex Ovechkin for his two assists; that gives him points in 5 games in a row.
It feels good to win one after two straight losses; thank you – Go Caps!
No one knows nothing – again and again!
I don’t think a single self-professed expert picked Georgetown to do well this season, can you find me one? Did you?
A big win again over the number 4 team in the land; the team steps it up against nationally ranked teams; how can Georgetown not be ranked now in the top 10?
I am proud of the team; and our University. Hoya Saxa. Nice win.
As you can see - it is being redesigned.
We are still working the kinks out. Please bear with me and us as we stand it up and get it all working well.
And it is becoming a part of a Monumental Sports and Entertainment local network; that includes several microsites including Monumental Report; all toll – we think our local network can serve as a proxy for a next generation local sports and entertainment network; that serves fans – and residents/neighbors and advertisers well. It will have scale – reach lots of people; generate lots of commerce and lots of impressions for advertisers.
Stay tuned for more information about this development. Thank you.
They are starting to play quite well again, are presently second in the AHL is terms of points.
They won last night 6 to 0 – over a rival; had great goal tending; Cody Eakin scored two goals and the defense is also wheeling and dealing and adding to the scoring and shots on goal.
Well done and thank you – read this story if you are so inclined.
