Day of Infamy
We discussed Pearl Harbor, WWII and what it meant to us as a country all of yesterday.

A Road Win
It felt good to get a win on the road. The road has been unkind to us of late.
It felt good to see Alex Ovechkin flying around the rink, potting a pretty goal and playing with great energy and passion. And we scored on a power play to take a 5-3 win over Ottawa. As noted scoring on a power play is a big difference maker for our team. Sounds simple.
We still must stay out of the penalty box. We make it hard on ourselves taking so many penalties. The two at the end of the game were troubling and added pressure on our team.
We are back in the playoff equation according to the standings with that win. We play at home on Friday night against Toronto. We look forward to seeing you all at the game. I appreciate your ongoing support. Go Caps!
“My Dinner With Abbie”
Abbie Hoffman.
Funny – witty – smart – charming and a true revolutionary!
Wonder what he would think of the Occupy movement?
Watch this classic film on his life and times on SnagFilms.
He was a true original American.
I enjoyed this film very much.
56 Games to Go
We are in third place in our own division now.
Plenty of time to regain team confidence and health.
But no time like tonight to get back on a better pace of play on the road.
Focus must be on defensive systems; on our penalty kill and our power play.
And on over all team chemistry and vigor and energy for all 60 minutes.
An important away game this evening; tune in on Comcast Sportsnet and wish us well. Thank you.
