Wale Love

Thank you Wale.

Thanks for being so supportive and thank you to the 5k fans or so who experienced our Fanfest for the Wizards last Saturday night.

As I have noted – we are currently ranked number 2 or 3 depending on the week in terms of new full season tickets sold – we had renewals in excess of 82 percent year over year as well; we are selling out down stairs lower bowl very quickly as well as all of our VIP tickets. I am very appreciative of your belief and support of the team. We hope to make you proud. Thank you.

Yep

Let us recount.

Capital’s power play is inefficient – and on the road is ranked 27th. An 11 percent conversion rate; do you remember when we were ranked 1st in the NHL with a 24 percent conversion rate on the power play a few seasons ago? I do. Fondly.

Our 4 core players get incomplete or red down arrows as grades. See “The Noon Number” here.

Time for all to step up and be counted now.

Win as a team; lose as a team.

But as the power play goes – so goes our team, and its skilled core players.

Score on the power play – win games as we are playing a much better defensive scheme and system.

If we get good goal tending; and we fix the power play – we will be much more productive as the season wears on.

See you all tonight as we play a very tough Nashville squad. Go Caps!

Why You Get Friended or Unfriended?

This is a good one to read – as you get more and more social.

Here is why you get into a network or get banished from a network. Thank you Mashable. This rings quite true to me.

On my blog – the comments platform is back on – and working; sorry for the inconvenience of late. Also – someone hacked my Thewashwiz@aol.com account – I am working through the issues. Stay tuned. Thank you.

Best Buddies Spotlight

In Washington Life.

With a spotlight on my e-buddy – Big Ken Holden.

A photo of us in front of the White House at an event with our President; and then at the home of VP Biden. A nice group shot.

I am very proud of my friendship and the 10k plus emails that have been sent and received between me and Big Ken.

Wizards Sign Nick Young

To a one year deal; he signed his qualifying offer. He is in camp now and will be ready to play at our opener on December 26th. See news release here.

We will have 15 players signed and under contract come opening night; we will need a full roster with so many games bunched together. Depth will matter this season.

I am appreciative of  Nick Young coming to camp – we hope he plays well and rises to the occasion; he is a truly gifted offense player – he can shoot and he can score. Welcome back.

Onward. Thank you.
