And the Capitals. Click here if you have the time.
We play a back to back tonight in Montreal. The team has to shake off its poor performance last night at Verizon Center. We play tonight then Friday against Carolina and Sunday at 12:30 pm against the Penguins in Pittsburgh. Three games in a row on the road in give days. The road hasn’t been kind to us making last night’s loss even more difficult to process.
ted-very nicely written by the dean of hockey writers and living legend red fisher-i used to live near him in montreal and went to school with his daughter. i also used to read the montreal gazette back in the glory days of the expos-and yes we had glory days-unfortunately heartbreaking days too!
A few simple quotes or rules of management are in order here I think.
1. There are people who work for you
2. There are people who work against you
3. There are people who work with you
*Your goal should always be to achieve #3.
I think that sums up the Capitals dilemma in a nut shell.
* Also, please remember that “Excuses are nothing more than reasons for failure” and “Luck is for losers”. So please don’t wish them luck.
I wish the Caps organization nothing but sucess in overcoming this seasons troubles.
Losses happen but not showing up last night is definitely tough to process, really tough to process.
Well maybe this story will boost Ovie for the rest of the season. In my own opinion, Backstrom is the heart of that team . So many good players in that team for so many years with no good result. We blame the young goalie for so many years. Coaches as well both have been address ! Now who is to blame ?
