Indiewire Wins a Webby Award!

SnagFilms’ Indiewire – the leading news source for independent film – won the 2012 Webby Award in the Movie and Film category, it was just announced this morning.  Indiewire won for its great new website, which launched back in October.

This is the second time that Indiewire has won this prestigious award – the leading international award honoring excellence on the internet.  We are honored to have won; Indiewire was up against some very impressive website competition, including Turner Classic Movies’ 31 Days of Oscar, The Muppets, and The Tree of Life.

Congratulations to the Indiewire and SnagFilms team for receiving this great honor.  See all the Webby Award winners here.  And please visit Indiewire.com to see why it’s an award-winning destination for film fans worldwide.

Earth Day

SnagFilms.com is presenting many films that focus on the environment in celebration of Earth Day.

Here is one about the waterways of Louisiana and the polluters that taint the land and the water recklessly.

This is a smart film.

Go Green.

Watch these films. Help where you can.

RIP DVD

A great Infographic here! Really powerful.

Streaming is the future of film and video. Physical delivery of media is passé.

SnagFilms was one of the first streaming video and sharing platforms to be created. We have one of the largest libraries – 4,000 plus films under contract – and we are available on more than 100 devices and we are distributed via more than 200,000 affiliates.

And we are just four years old.

RIP DVD. Celebrate streaming.
