Make a Wish Foundation

About the only thing I wanted to post about this weekend was this: thank you to Make A Wish Foundation; and thank you to Ellie Carney – it was a true honor to meet you. Click here for this heartwarming story and video. A big hug to the entire family too – for your courage and your dedication.

Heads Up On Changes and Some Notes

Some folks may have noticed last night that we have reprogrammed the main screen in Verizon Center to have new graphics – some new type faces for print oriented messaging and that we changed the order of the teams to be more consistent with the way media reports scores – visiting team first at home team, second. Visiting team on the left – home team on the right.

We also have created many new video elements and promotional elements to run during each game.

Several folks have resisted the change to the order of teams on the scoreboard and have emailed me to ask if we can go back to Capitals on left side of score board, first, followed by visiting team on right – second.

We will consider this change. Stay tuned.

Thanks also for sending so many emails; and we are also looking into the issues with the elevator that lost power last night; the lack of mayo in some condiment stands; and a few other details that you noted.

Tell us what needs improving and within reason we are here to help and provide service to you. We want you to be happy!

I also want to thank the hundred or so folks that attended the 15 year consecutive season ticket holders bash at the Dewar’s Club; it was great to see you all and as I noted – I am very grateful to you for your ongoing support. We have about 100 plus people that represent about 350 seats that have been with us for 15 consecutive years! Thanks so much; Go Caps!
