A good film; role models within; Black History Month continues to be celebrated. And a cool sound track.

Perhaps our greatest leader.
I went to the Portrait Gallery and viewed photos of him and the associated “death masks”. It was quite moving. The Lincoln Monument doesn’t even do justice to this man.
Here we present the classic – the DW Griffiths’ directed film …” Lincoln”.
See the original film that introduced modern America to this great President.
This is an amazingly well done black and white classic film.
Imagine going to a theatre and collectively watching this one.
I am so proud of SnagFilms for finding this gem! Click here history buffs; set way back machine on stun.Watch this weekend. Thank you.
The Dead Sea Scrolls are digital, dot com and are right here for all to see. Click here and enjoy.
At 12 years old. A documentary look at a future NHL player drafted in the first round by the Capitals. Very instructive and open and real.
Click here to watch. Thank you.
Here you go; a film to treasure.
Very timely and relevant.
I have been to this museum.
And it must be protected; for future generations.
It is a world treasure.
This rioting and looting is a real issue for the world regarding these antiquities. Please read this missive from the front.
This article, interview and memorial bring back so many personal memories.
Bill Nelson was our Congressman when I lived in Vero Beach, FL back in the mid 1980′s.
I had just started dating the woman who would become my wife.
She and I and the Congressman and his wife became friends. We also were big supporters of the Congressman and held many fundraisers and salons at my home.
I was so proud of Congressman Nelson. He was a great friend of the community and he was also an astronaut. He talked a lot about his preparation of going into space. He also talked about how his trip had changed him and made him see that we all live on one fragile blue planet. He now saw “the big picture.” He was certainly now in an exclusive club, a Senator and an astronaut!
Whenever the shuttle was launched, everything would stop in our neighborhood and everyone would go to the beach to watch the shuttle fly.
The Challenger launch was no different. And there we stood watching and hoping and then the telltale signs that something was terribly wrong. We were all so shaken.
It seemed as personal as the helicopters flew around our beach on rescue missions afterwards. We all walked back to our offices and homes trembling, numb and crying.
President Reagan later addressed the nation and helped us all heal.
Congressman Nelson did great work for our community and helped in the investigation around this great national challenge that we all faced.
Time has gone on. Time heals many wounds. Congressman Nelson is now a Senator. He was there. We were there. What a memory. Time flies.
But in this case…what the heck?
Go for it. Be happy at happy hour with the Washington Capitals.
Here is a list of bars around town that are holding viewing parties for our games. Thank you Washington Post.
Go to the National Geographic Museum in downtown DC and take the tour to view the Terra Cotta Warriors.
Emperor Qin (China is named after him) sure had a sense of style and knew how to create mass produced output. Click here for info from National Geographic.
My wife and I toured the exhibit yesterday. It took less than an hour. It is mind blowing and so well done.
You will learn a lot. We are so appreciative to live in such a dynamic city. This tour will only be in DC for a few more weeks. Catch it before it goes back to China. It is an amazing display and worth your while.
John Entwistle was perhaps one of the greatest bass players in rock history — he was called the “Ox”; as he played with power for the WHO.
He died of a drug over dose in Las Vegas on a Who reunion tour — here is a great film of his life and times — and it is all about our generation — and the Who. I feel like I grew up with this band — this is a very meaningful film — check it out by clicking here. And who are you?
