Albert Cohen Redux

I attended a small and intimate viewing for our partner Albert Cohen last night in Frederick, MD.

It was wonderful to see his family and friends and to offer them our fond memories of Albert and his life and times.

Albert was a member of the Masonic Order and they convened a very nice tribute to Albert as their brother. It was a touching ceremony.

Albert will be missed and there is a memorial service today. Click here for details.

We Lost a Beloved Partner

Monumental Sports and Entertainment is sad to report the passing of Albert H. Cohen. He was 89 years old.

Mr. Cohen was a great friend of the Pollin family and was a partner in Abe’s sports partnership for many years. When we consolidated the holdings last year at Monumental Sports and Entertainment. Mr. Cohen requested to stay in our partnership; he loved the teams and he attended just about every Caps and Wizards game last season.

He was a joy to be around. He was a giant in business and in sports. And local politics. He was always upbeat and he was a wise counsel to us all.

He was beloved by the community and his family is bedrock in Maryland.

Here is the obituary and visitation information.

Rest in peace Big Al – we will have a tribute to him during this next season; our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.

MLK Memorial

have seen it. It is a very moving experience. The Memorial is quite impressive and takes it’s place along the Mall as a “must see” area.

The mall played such a central role in MLK’s narrative and this is truly a fitting tribute to a great man.

Here is a powerful film- “Man of Peace In Time Of War” that shows MLK’s life and times! On SnagFilms.com. Watch, learn and pay tribute. Go see this wonderful Memorial. Thank you.
