Mashup Media

I like how the Washington Times embeds NHL highlights – streaming videos – into the edit package. See this link as an example

These video widgets as an example add lots of value to print productions.

Many of the bloggers snag and publish these widgets as well.

In a way – this is what SnagFilms is all about too – creating film widgets to be snagged and embedded by people and by news organizations and charitable concerns.

The NHL is very innovative in new media; the traditional media are developing good production and content platforms; as are so many of the blogging networks – which led this revolution.

The level of media coverage around today’s trade dead line will be fantastic.

And CSN will blend traditional and new media with its online and broadcast shows; Click here. And include bloggers as a part of the coverage. Mashup redux.

It is unclear how much news we will generate today; stay tuned and wish us well.

Reach for the wall

Did you know that the DMV is also a hot bed for Olympic hopeful swimmers?

Locally – we have fantastic young talent. Dedicated swimmers; all breaking records for speed.

One of the up and coming hopefuls is a young woman who we all know named Katie Ledecky. She is the niece of a friend of ours named Jon Ledecky.

We are all proud of her hard work and aspirations.

Click here and here and here to read all about her work; her times and her upside. Amazing!
