There never has been a better time to be an entrepreneur. Recently I spoke with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as it “celebrates 100 years of representing the ideas, values and interests of free enterprise and the business community.” The chamber recently launched a new digital platform – FreeEnterprise.com. The other night at the Caps vs. Islanders game, a family member lost a wallet. The wallet contained cash, credit cards, driver’s license, keys, coins, notes and other personal items.
It was a devastating loss. We wondered if the wallet had been pick-pocketed or dropped. We went to lost and found. We searched everywhere.
No luck.
The next morning I received an email from a young man who said, “I believe I found your family member’s wallet. Will you call me please?”
We connected and the young man returned the wallet to me that he found on G Street in the middle of the street.
With everything intact.
What a great act of honesty and integrity.
The young man’s name is Phong Le. He lives in the neighborhood at Verizon Center.
He joined us at the Wizards game last night with a bunch of his friends. We met in the owner’s box. We attended the game and ate dinner together. I am extremely grateful to him for his act of kindness.
Good Samaritans exist. Thank you Phong Le.

On the game last night – totally unacceptable.
One minute in – we are down 1 to 0.
We are then down 4 to 0. Last two games played – down 3 to 0 and 4 to 0. That won’t get it done!
We try to battle back but we lose 4 to 2 last night. First game back from break – but we can’t use that as an excuse.
Time is a wasting for us. We have 48 games left to play.96 points to take.
Every point matters from here on out as we are stuck on 36 points.

Be that as it may – we must get some wins and some points and build our confidence. On the road.
Next game is against the hottest team in the NHL at home – the NY Rangers – wish us luck – we may need it.
This is such sad news. A possible great white shark attack off the Treasure Coast near Vero Beach, Florida.
I remember well the sad story of James Willie who was attacked less than a mile from our home.
The ocean is beautiful but it can hold hidden dangers. I am always aware of my surroundings when I enter the ocean.

…All that matters is today. This is what we wanted: Optimism about our future but expectations that we can win TODAY!
Because if we lose, there is no tomorrow. The team is focused and believes it can win and they believe in each other. This will be another fun, entertaining and intense game. Wish us luck. Go Caps and don’t forget to Rock the Red!
Good luck to the Wizards who play at the exact same time as the Capitals do today. What were the schedulers thinking? I am hopeful that the team can win one at Cleveland and get the series off on the right foot.

Also, it is interesting to note that Google now gets more of its revenue from outside the US than from the US. This is a truly global business now. As I noted a long time ago, he who gets to one billion uniques first will win and there is only 18 percent of the universe on the internet in the US.
