District Sports Page also has write-ups for the past two west coast games. Definitely a hard fought battle--loved the way Booker tussled with Griffin, thought Wall outplayed Paul for most of the game, and our increased intensity on defense makes things fun to watch.

I think the tired legs got to us in that fourth quarter as we kept sending the Clips to the line. Overall a much better performance than Feb. 4!

Is it just me? Or do they need to do something about Jones and Milbury. I'm trying to be polite. They are the most arrogant analyst of any sport! Your trying to get people interested in the sport of hockey, and this is the face you put on it? Who the heck are they related to? There has to be others more interesting then these two. They just keep being forced on my friends and I ! Outdoor what ever, versus,NBC sports network...

I understand your point sir but the "professional media" gets paid. The bloggers and casual fans have 9-5 jobs and cant always be on "top of it". Just something to think about

Been here for years just waiting and boy I am ready to panic. Just seems they can't get it together and I am not at all impressed with the sitting of Neuvirth to bring up Holtby. Remember what Neuvirth did for us last year? Maybe if he had some ice time this year instead of always staying with Vokoun he could perform up to his level of last season. Don't know that the coaching change was too wise. Not at all impressed with Hunter so far. Don't know what the answer is but damn they are making it hard to watch.

I stayed up late to watch the end of the game, and was really pleased with the teamwork, the hustle and the sheer determination not to let Portland truly get back into the game (the lead never got lower than 7 points as I recall).

I just wish Wall, Young and Crawford (off the bench) could play like that every game. We could compete with any NBA team with that kind of production and shooting percentage (60%), though the reality is many other teams play tougher D than Portland. Was also pleased with the free throw shooting (19-23 I think?), which has so often been a source of exasperation this season.

Hi Ted,

Maybe this is me being a sensitive blogger, but as Editor of We Love DC, we try to walk a pretty careful line about reporting mostly about what we can see, touch and hear for ourselves, which means that we're mostly reporting about what happens here in DC. That's the reason that Patrick's story on the game against the Heat from Friday is the most recent piece on the Wizards.

We, too, love the professional media. We'd love to have the budgets that they have for travel and expenses, which isn't something that, as a group of DC enthusiasts, we currently possess.

There's room in the media ecosphere for many groups of different focus, including both professional and, as I like to call us, "semi-pro". Blogging is, in many cases, reaching audiences that would nominally ignore the sports section, and exposing new potential fans.

There's room for both :) I know you know that, otherwise we wouldn't be in the box at Verizon for the Caps and the Wizards.

Best regards,

Tom Bridge

Let's Go Caps! Knuble celebrates his 1000th game a couple weeks ago and sits out the last three games.. I agree he's not doing well this year along with the entire team. Plenty of blame to go around. Starts with Management...Isn't it amazing how a team can go from 1st to bust.. I really hope we can find a way. I thought this was the year. High expectations and poor results.

I don't want to give up yet! Everyone seems to have all kinds of ideas on how to make this a better team. I just want them to play! And play well!
