One Georgetown students take on coming to the games

A very passionate plea from one student to other students and about school spirit and attendance.

Thought provoking; with lots of comments.

Hoya Saxa. The Georgetown men’s basketball team is playing quite well this season; we are proud of the team and the coach and our University.

Hoya Saxa – a big win!

No one knows nothing – again and again!

I don’t think a single self-professed expert picked Georgetown to do well this season, can you find me one? Did you?

A big win again over the number 4 team in the land; the team steps it up against nationally ranked teams; how can Georgetown not be ranked now in the top 10?

I am proud of the team; and our University. Hoya Saxa. Nice win.

Georgetown Men’s Basketball

And Monumental Sports and Entertainment announced a smart partnership. We will be selling tickets for the program and utilizing our infrastructure and personnel to help drive attendance for the University that plays at Verizon Center. See link here from the Georgetown University website.

I am very proud. Hoya Saxa.

On another front, I happened to mention our new loge boxes earlier in the week on my blog that we had built 8 and had sold 4 – scratch that – we have now sold 5 of them! Thank you. These have turned out to be very popular with our fans.

Also the Verizon Center has installed and will continue to refine during the next few weeks an upgraded sound system and we are also hard at work on modernizing a bunch of suites in the building.Scratch some more To Do’s off our list. Thanks for the support!

Proud Hoya

That was a fun game and an impressive showing against the #1 seed UConn Huskies. A win would have been of historic upset proportions. We played hard. We played smart. We came up just a bit short. Read this one please.

The Georgetown Woman’s basketball program is now firmly established. It will continue to grow and develop. The lacrosse program has become world class as has soccer, track and field and sailing along with men’s basketball.

Academics rule at Georgetown but athletics on a nationally ranked scale are important as well. We balance the priorities well. Hoya Saxa.
