Weblogs was a great acquisition by AOL. Kudos to Jim Bankoff and the team for boldly pushing this acquisition through the chain of command at AOL including me. A network of blog sites NOT branded AOL is a smart idea and one that we first outlined in 1995 via our AOL Studios business plan. The last three years have flown by and it is gratifying to see this strategy take root at the company.
It is great to see AOL growing these brands and page views and serving these diverse audiences.
