A Championship to DC

Congratulations to the Washington Kastles and to Mark Ein. The Kastles are champs and we haven’t had a champ in DC in quite some time. I really enjoy World Team Tennis. It is a fun filled family night of entertainment. The games are fast paced and the athletes are very competitive. Kudos to Mark Ein and his organization. They are the best of the best in World Team Tennis. Click here to read all about the big win.

Winning Begets Winning and Losing Begets Losing…

Has Federer lost it? Ever since the start of the year and his battles with mono, he hasn’t been his once dominating self. Losing in the Olympics to James Blake doesn’t auger well for his play in the upcoming US Open. Nadal seems to have psyched him out and is now the king of all of tennis. The King is dead…long live the King!

Youth Must be Served

We saw a passing of the torch yesterday, a 22-year-old stepped up and a 27-year-old stood down. That was an amazing day of tennis. Nadal is a warrior and Federer is a champion of grace, style and substance.

You could see in Federer’s eyes that he knew that he had been surpassed by a younger great player. What an epic battle. What a fun finals at Wimbledon.

Kastles Stadium in Downtown DC Almost Complete

Check out these photos. This is where the Washington Kastles tennis team will play and where the US Trials of the Homeless World Cup will be played next weekend. I am hopeful that people will come on out to support the players at the games. We need your support and when you come to a game, please bring some granola bars and some bottled water to share with our players.
