Fun Time at Redskins Game

Hail.

We had a blast.

I bought tickets and sat in the Dream Seats near the end zone – me, my son and two of his friends. The seats were perfect as was the service in our area. The weather was great, the sight lines were terrific and the fans were friendly.

The parking lot was easy to get in and out of. Traffic wasn’t bad. We grabbed burgers at Johnny Rockets before the game. Quite tasty I must say and everyone was friendly, nice and supportive.

The game was tense, hard fought and terrific. I am happy the Skins won and played before a passionate and loud crowd. It is great to see success for all teams of late here in DC.

I really enjoyed myself and will definitely try to catch another game soon. Hail to the Redskins! See this goofy photo of me in our seats at the game. Thanks.

DC Sports Team Owners Root for One Another

We do. We really do.

That was a fun event.

I enjoyed it very much.

A rising tide will raise all boats. We are in a small club. We are all part of this community.

Click here to read about it. Thank you for attending today and thank you for watching it on the web.

Go Skins! Go Nats! Go DC United!

Comrades in Arms

Professional athletes like and respect one another. I think in DC more than other towns, too!

Many of our players have been embraced and visa versa by the Washington Wizards, DC United, Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins. They come to our games. We go to their games. They socialize together as well.

See this Skins blog post about Alex Ovechkin and his three point attempts on the field.

I also know that the coaches and GMs talk amongst themselves as well. There is deep mutual respect between teams and execs between sports. These players and execs are all brothers in arms. It is nice to see.

Just Win

There is a lesson here. If a team wins and does the right things the right way, all is well.

I know though that this is all fleeting and fragile and if we don’t win, there will be headlines about what a bum we have all become.

Stay hungry. Stay humble and win. Be nice. Embrace. Be transparent. Love. Win. Thank you. And be nice when we lose too. :-) As Mr. Pollin once said to me, “Don’t get too high with the highs or too low with the lows.”

Mr. Tony at It Again

After nine years, one would think you would know how to pronounce my last name. It is Leonsis, LEE-ON-SIS. I have had several friends calling me today to poke fun at my last name which you mispronounced while taking a pot shot at the Washington Capitals on national TV.

Pittsburgh has a great fan base. Fans will travel from the city to DC-based games or they actually live here and break out the terrible towels and go to games here. They are Skins fans except when the Skins play the Steelers. We experienced that phenomenon with the Capitals too and same with the Orioles when they play the Yankees or Red Sox or the Nationals when they play the Mets.

But I am proud of our city and our fan base and our franchise. We are growing like crazy. We have a loud and proud building. We rock the red and I believe if we give our fans a reason to cheer, they will come in droves.

Mike Wise Agrees But Don’t Believe the Experts :-)

I remember after the first game of the season, the mainstream media experts (and some fans too) were calling for Jim Zorn to be fired - after one game!

Don’t believe the experts or people that call in on radio shows. “No one knows nothing,” as a great man once said. Our community is over the moon about the Redskins season right now. Hail to the Redskins! Way to go!
